Question by missy800: Is anyone willing to share their idea of a medical insurance plan for me?
I know this may sound silly but for an assignment in class we have to talk about the type of medical insurance that we have and I’m embarrassed of my medicaid status. The instructor says it’s ok that it’s fictional or it could be our own but I really don’t know any other medical insurance plans besides my own to talk about. Can someone give me some ideas?

Any good health insurance plans?

Question by : Any good health insurance plans?
To make a long story short- I have a shoulder injury I sustained from working out back in March 2010. I am 25 years old, a veteran and generally in good shape. But this injury has limited my ability to do much, including working out. Basically, I’ve been getting the runaround at the VA Hospital and have to wait 3-4 months or more to get an appt with the orthopedic surgeon, who doesn’t remember me from the last time and I only get to talk to him briefly. I don’t work right now, mostly due to the injury, and I am currently seeking private insurance due to my experience at the VA. Sometimes the VA will “outsource” patients to other doctors, I’ve already tried to do this only to learn that at my VA it is rarely done, and I have to schedule an appt with my primary care dr. first to start the process, which takes at least several months as well.

My husband has health insurance through his employer. His brothers daughters don’t have any at all, and they live right next door to us so that are frequently here. Is there a way to allow them to be on our health plan without actually “adopting” them. Please help! Also, if adopting them is the only way… how do I ask their parents if they would be interested in our adopting their children with out them totally freaking out?!

I have been diagnosed with fatty liver disease and type 2 diabeties. I did some research and I fall into all of the perameters for gastric bypass, but most insurance companies don’t like to cover it. Help!

blue cross clue shield will only for certain criteria met and geha (government employees hospital association) will
usually your criteria will be that you cannot have been treated for any related illness in the last 6 months and then you must pass extensive testing…..the best thing you can do is call an office where the procedure is specialized and ask what companies they accept insurance from and see if you can obtain insurance from there

It’s not insurance. It looks somewhat similar to Medi-Share. It combines a discount, with “sharing of cost”. Preexisting conditions are not covered.

If you cannot afford real health insurance, it’s better than nothing – but not much better than nothing.
